The main perk of living in one of the luxury no-fee rental apartments at ARO in Hell’s Kitchen is its extraordinary access to some of the city’s best fine dining destinations. Not to mention, its central location in Midtown West means your friends and family from all parts of the city will be able to visit anytime. With spacious interiors and 40,000 square feet of amenities throughout the building, sometimes it can be easier to host a dinner party at home.
If you don’t think the words “easier” and “dinner party” belong in the same sentence, bear with us. Hosting a dinner party doesn’t have to require crowding everyone into your Hell’s Kitchen rental (though we daresay you’d have room!), thanks to the convenient amenities available to residents. In fact, ARO Club 2 is the perfect setting to host any larger gathering.
For starters, there’s the Epicurean kitchen, which is decked out with an expansive marble breakfast bar, long dining room table, and all the suitable appliances you could need to whip up something great. Choose something simple, yet delicious when done right, like these Extra-Juicy Turkey Burgers. (You may have to double or triple the recipe, depending on your group—this one makes four.) Don’t be afraid to put your guests to work, as most of them will be looking for a chance to jump in and help. Ask someone to mash the avocado while another grates the onion, and so on. Before you know it, you’ll be gathered around the table with a fresh, simple dinner. Bonus: it’s healthy!
But not so fast: we almost forgot the drinks. Check out Bon Appetit’s recipes for tequila and mezcal cocktails, none of which involve any of that syrupy-sweet, store-bought margarita mix. Besides the spirits, and some basic ingredients you probably already have on hand, all you need is agave syrup and citrus, so pick up some limes, grapefruits, and oranges before the party starts. These cocktails let the complex flavors in the tequila and mezcal shine, while also pairing well with the light turkey burgers you’ll be serving.
Once dinner winds down, take your cocktails out to the garden terrace. There, you can watch the sun set over Midtown West and mingle with the guests you haven’t had a chance to talk with yet.
The people behind ARO’s amenities get that you’re never too old to play, too, so there’s plenty to do in the Club Room, which features table tennis and pool and a top-of-the-line golf simulator. If you’re feeling ambitious, pick up a game of basketball on the court in ARO Club 1.
Wherever the night takes you after that, you won’t regret having started it right in ARO, which provides so many ways for the inhabitants of its Midtown West luxury rental apartments to put together a sublime dinner-party experience.
